Description Overview: These 4 student positions are Canada Summer Jobs that will provide 8 weeks of valuable experience for the qualified candidates.
This SCDW will work with staff in at least one of our 4 resource centres for half of the summer and work in our summer program in the remaining 4 weeks.
Hours will be scheduled 6 hours per day from Monday to Friday (30 hours per week).
Remuneration: The rate of pay is $11.00 per hour.

Knowledge and Background:
The ideal student will appreciate the struggles of low income
families, especially moms with young children. The person will
be enrolled in studies at a Community College, or
University in a field(s) of study that will develop their
practice of social work or education or human development
or similar health related skills. The person will enjoy working with
small groups of children and adults and individuals, be a creative
planner and an effective team player. The person will have a
current Vulnerable Sector Police Check, First Aid/CPR, a valid
driver’s license and be able to travel to and from each work site.
